OGŁOSZENIA/ANNOUNCEMENTS

THE VIGIL CANDLE for the weeks beginning April 30th and May 7th will be in memory of Michael Ardelli by Shirley and family.

Vigil candles are now being booked for another year.

MEETING – “Living with Cancer” Support Group: This is a support group for those who have had a diagnosis of cancer, for their family, and caregivers. Wednesday, May 16, 1:30-3:30 p.m., Royal Canadian Legion Whitney Pier Branch. Guest speaker: Dr. John Ritter.

LITURGICAL COMMITTEE: For the parishioners who recently volunteered for the Liturgical Committee, we would like to ask that you meet over lunch after Mass in the church basement. A table has been reserved for you. There are two items on the agenda: 1. Planning for Boze Cialo (Corpus Christi) in June, including an outdoor procession around the church; and 2. Developing some suggestions for prayers of the faithful that should be read at upcoming Masses.

100th ANNIVERSARY – 2013: For the parishioners who recently volunteered to help with church tours, to develop our commemorative postage stamp, and to put together a 100th anniversary Polish cookbook with local recipes as a way of fund-raising, there will be a meeting on Wednesday, May 16, at 7 p.m. in the O’Connell House. The work on organizing the other 100th anniversary projects will get started in the coming weeks.

PROVINCIAL HERITAGE CONFERENCE DELEGATES TO VISIT ST. MARY’S POLISH CHURCH: On Friday, June 15, delegates at the Nova Scotia Heritage Conference will be touring our church and having lunch here. This will generate some revenue for the church/100th anniversary. Our church is a provincially designated heritage property – the only one honouring Polish Nova Scotians.

ON-LINE VERSION OF BULLETIN: Our bulletin is also available on-line on the parish website: www.stmaryspolishparish.ca .
