Thanks to everyone who volunteers in any way to help our parish! Dziękujemy!

OUR PARISH MISSION STATEMENT: It was adopted in October 2012 at a special general meeting of the parish. This past Wednesday, as part of an orientation, the Rada reflected on the statement’s continued importance: “The Mission of St. Mary’s Polish Parish is to be a model community of faith, a devout, participatory Roman Catholic parish, welcoming to all, and a beacon of hope and generosity. Polish heritage, traditions, culture, and language are integral to our spiritual experience. In all we do, we strive for holiness, dignity, justice, and excellence.”

TRANSLATION OF TODAY’S FIRST READING FROM THE BOOK OF WISDOM: Death was not God’s doing, he takes no pleasure in the extinction of the living. To be – for this he created all; the world’s created things have health in them, in them no fatal poison can be found, and Hades holds no power on earth; for virtue is undying. Yet God did make man imperishable, he made him in the image of his own nature; it was the devil’s envy that brought death into the world, as those who are his partners will discover.

PARTIAL TRANSLATION OF TODAY’S SECOND READING (2 Corinthians): You always have the most of everything – of faith, of eloquence, of understanding, of keenness for any cause, and the biggest share of our affection – so we expect you to put the most into this work of mercy too. Remember how generous the Lord Jesus was: he was rich, but he became poor for your sake … we strike a balance: as scripture says: The man who gathered much had none too much, the man who gathered little did not go short.

“A person's dignity does not depend on them being a citizen, a migrant, or a refugee. Saving the life of someone fleeing war and poverty is an act of humanity.”a recent message on Twitter from Pope Francis
