FATHER RICH REPORTS:
Niech bedzie pochwalony Jezus Chrystus!
Dear Parishioners and Friends,
I want to thank all of you who came last night to the Polish Village Hall for the farewell reception and those who worked hard to organize the evening as well as all those who made sandwiches and desserts. I am also grateful for the cards, words and gifts. I thank God ( the author of all things), Bishop Dunn, Father Provincial Pawel Bandurski, the Parish Rada as all who cooperated together to allow me to come back to Cape Breton. It was great to have a new church and a modern glebe house and participate in the life of the community. I will always have in my heart a special place for St. Mary’s Parish and Cape Breton. I ask that you remember me in your daily prayers that the Lord may allow me to continue my priestly ministry in Las Vegas as health permits. I certainly will have all of you and also the many deceased parishioners and my predecessor pastors in my prayers. My new address is: Our Lady of Las Vegas Parish 3050 Alta Dr. las Vegas, NV    USA, cell #1-702-881-3674. I will have a final Mass this Monday morning at 8:30 am before leaving by car to Ontario. I have met again this week with Father Dennis and am most confident he will be a good pastor and shepherd for St. Mary’s. “Zostańcie z Bogiem”  Remain with God.
-Father Rich

OGŁOSZENIA / ANNOUNCEMENTS

'Bóg zapłać! Kindest thanks from our parish to Fr. Rich. As the song goes: Wszystkiego dobrego życzymy, życzymy, i zdrowia, i szczęścia, i błogosławieństwa przez ręce Maryi!

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING MASSES: Please note that due to pastoral changes, Sunday Mass will now be held at 9:30am. There will be one weekday Mass held on Wednesdays at 6:30pm followed by the Novena to Our Lady of Częstochowa.

LUNCH AFTER MASS NEXT SUNDAY: Welcome for Fr. Dennis Lamey. Everyone is welcome. The following is a list of fellow parishioners who are next in the rotation to please bring a dish. Thanks for your help! Delores and Frank Starzomski, Sophie and Roddie O’Toole, Robert Schella, Mary McMullin, Wayne Joseph, Michelle Pellerine and family, Lynette Ryba, Jerry Pocius, Shirley Ardelli, Christa Porter and family, Ursula and Michael Melski, Shari McKay, Judi and Peter McCarron, Rosalie Starzomski, Tom Urbaniak

LOAVES AND FISHES: We would be grateful to everyone who can bring a non-perishable item next Sunday. Please note that the items do not have to be food items. Items like tissues/napkins, toothpaste, shampoo, toilet paper, and soap are very much appreciated as well.

UPDATE -- SISTER CITY – WAŁBRZYCH, POLAND: This is now almost official! This past Thursday, the City Council of Wałbrzych (pronounced Vow-b-j-ih) unanimously passed a resolution authorizing its mayor, Roman Szełemej, to sign a partnership agreement with our mayor. As soon as this happens, we’ll be setting up a Wałbrzych Partnership Committee to make this a robust relationship on our end. It will meet 2-4 times a year and consist of representatives of St. Mary’s Polish Parish, St. Michael’s Polish Benefit Society, CBRM, CBU, Parks Canada, the local business community, and others. Thanks to everyone who has been involved in laying the groundwork for this over the past year. Walbrzych is a city of about 115,000 people in Silesia. Its economic heritage is mining, but it has many post-industrial revitalization projects. It has fascinating Canadian connections through the Ksiaz Castle Historic Site. That site also has conservation and technical issues similar to the Fortress of Louisbourg. (Walbrzych happens to be the previous home city of our own Janusz Wawrzyszyn!)

SEEKING SUBSTITUTE BULLETIN EDITOR FOR TWO WEEKS: If you might be able to do the bulletins for Sunday, July 22, and Sunday, July 29, could you kindly contact Tom Urbaniak at 902-563-1226 or tom_urbaniak@cbu.ca ? You would not have to use the same template, and various notes/information would be provided to you.  Any help would be gratefully received. Dziękuję bardzo!

The St. Michael’s Polish Benefit Society meets this evening at 7:00pm. This will also be the annual general meeting of the Society.

RADA MEETING: This Wednesday after the 6:30pm Mass.

POGORIA POLISH FOLK ENSEMBLE: Rehearsal tomorrow (Monday) at 6:00pm, Polish Village Hall.

OGRODEK / PARISH FOOD GARDEN: Weather permitting, we will plant vegetables on Friday morning at 9:00am. If you can spare an hour or two, it would be really greatly appreciated. Please meet at the church. The food will supply our Community Kitchen (weekly meals), which will begin on September 26.

PARISH PROPERTY COMMITTEE: If you can assist from time to time with yard work or minor maintenance, please advise John Morykot after Mass or by e-mail (jmorykot@eastlink.ca). John is working on a schedule. Many thanks.

Entrance: Kiedy ranne (Morning hymn)
Psalm:

Offertory: Liczę na Ciebie, Ojcze (I Rely on You, Father)
Communion: Serce Twe Jezu (Your Heart, Jesus)
Post-Communion: Jezu Badz ze Mna (Jesus Be With Me)

Zdrowas Maryjo ( Hail Blessed Mary)

AND FINALLY … a concluding hymn for Fr. Rich’s final Mass with us as pastor: Na Wszystkich Drogach Zycia (On All the Roads of Life)
Na wszystkich drogach życia, Gdzie posłałeś mnie / O Tobie, Boże, myślę / Wszędzie szukam Cię
Ref.: O Boże mój, dziękuję Ci  Za bezmiar Twoich łask Za radość Twą, za miłość Twą / Za każdą chwilę dnia
2. Zapalasz światło wiary / W zwykły, szary czas / By każda chwila życia/ Jednoczyła nas. Ref.
3. Znasz wszystkie moje myśli/ I przenikasz mnie. Nad każdym krokiem czuwasz, Więc nie lękam się. Ref
Summary of this final hymn in translation: On all the roads of life where you send me, I think of you, God, and search for you / I thank you for your graces and your love and for every moment of the day. In grey times, too, you light the way – so that every moment of our lives can unite us. You care for me each step of the way, and so I am not afraid.
