OGŁOSZENIA / ANNOUNCEMENTS

FATHER RICH REPORTS:
Niech Bedzie Pochwalony Jezus Chrystus! Praise be Jesus Christ!
Dear Parishioners and Friends:
We journey into the Second Sunday of Advent during our short Advent season. Today we hear the call from St. John the Baptist re-echoed in the Gospel from the first reading of the Prophet Isaiah. The call to is to prepare a way for the Lord. We hear how many people came down to the Jordan River to experience a baptism of repentance in preparation for the coming of the Messiah. We want to set a deadline for December 31st for memorial gifts, as we want to prepare the recognition plaques that will be on the wall along the hallway between the church and our Sala 1050. If you want yourself or loved one(s) deceased from your family to appear [includes previous Rebuilding Fund donation] please make your donation before the end of the year. Next Saturday, December 16th, the Sacrament of Reconciliation will be celebrated with guest priests and individual confessions at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Church from 10:00am to 3:00pm.

A NOTE ON PEWS: We will keep (for overflow) all of the pews that are in the Sala 1050 and the main church. In addition, three of the surplus pews (that were being stored in the kitchen – now under construction) were given to the Polish Village Hall (as benches for the change rooms). One of the pews is being converted into a table. After all these, there are still several pews remaining and storage is becoming more difficult. It has been proposed by Rada to offer these for sale to parishioners for $50 each (with proceeds to the Rebuilding Fund) and then on kijiji at a higher price if there is insufficient interest. However, before these are offered, we would like to check with fellow parishioners if there are other productive uses (for the parish or the community) that you might see for the pews. Please share feedback with any member of the Rada before Wednesday. Many thanks!
