TODAY'S RESPONSORIAL PSALM: Sławię Cię, Panie, bo mnie wybawiłeś [I will extol you, O Lord, for you have redeemed me.] Pronunication: Swa-vee-e-w / ch-e / Pa-nee-e / bo /m-nee-e / vi-ba-vee-we-sh

TRANSLATION OF PART OF TODAY’S FIRST READING (from Acts 5:27-32): But Peter and the apostles said in reply, “We must obey God rather than men. The God of our ancestors raised Jesus, though you had him killed by hanging him on a tree. God exalted him at his right hand as leader and savior to grant Israel repentance and forgiveness of sins. We are witnesses of these things, as is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him.”  The Sanhedrin ordered the apostles to stop speaking in the name of Jesus, and dismissed them. So they left the presence of the Sanhedrin, rejoicing that they had been found worthy to suffer dishonor for the sake of the name.

“IMIENINY” (NAME DAYS) FOR THE COMING WEEK. Help to maintain a longstanding Polish Catholic tradition by acknowledging relatives, friends, and colleagues who are celebrating their “name day,” corresponding with the feast day of a saint of the same name.  Where there is more than one saint of the same name who has been assigned a day, your “name day” is the one closest to your birthday. It is customary in the Polish tradition to acknowledge the name day of a relative or friend:
April 10: Antoni, Daniel, Henryk
April 11: Filip, Jaromir, Leon, Marek
April 12: Andrzej, Iwan, Juliusz, Wiktor, Zenon
April 13: Jan, Justyn, Małgorzata, Marcin
April 14: Julianna, Justyn, Maria

Holy Family of Nazareth, grant that our families too may be places of communion and prayer, authentic schools of the Gospel and small domestic churches. Holy Family of Nazareth, may families never again experience violence, rejection and division; may all who have been hurt or scandalized find ready comfort and healing. Holy Family of Nazareth, make us once more mindful of the sacredness and inviolability of the family, and its beauty in God’s plan. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, Graciously hear our prayer. Amen.
