“IMIENINY” (NAME DAYS) FOR THE COMING WEEK. Help to maintain a longstanding Polish Catholic tradition by acknowledging relatives, friends, and colleagues who are celebrating their “name day,” corresponding with the feast day of a saint of the same name.  Where there is more than one saint of the same name who has been assigned a day, your “name day” is the one closest to your birthday. It is customary in the Polish tradition to acknowledge the name day of a relative or friend:
March 27: Benedykt, Ernest, Jan, Lidia, Rupert
March 28: Aniela, Antoni, Jan
March 29: Cyryl
March 30: Amelia, Aniela
March 31: Beniamin, Dobromira, Kornelia

OGŁOSZENIA / ANNOUNCEMENTS

Wesołych Świąt Wielkanocnych / A Blessed Easter

Alleluja, Jezus żyje!

A MESSAGE FROM FATHER PAUL: I would just like to take this opportunity to wish each and everyone a very Happy and Holy Easter. Christ is Risen – He is truly Risen. These seven words sum up the joy and hope we should have in our hearts not just now but throughout the entire year. This past year has been one of joyfully awaiting that day when we shall celebrate the Holy Mass in our new Church. It won’t be long now. What a joy it will be for us to pass through the doors of our new Church and proclaim in word, song and Eucharist our love for God. We have much for which to be thankful. On behalf of Deacon John Scott and myself, a very Happy Easter. – Father Paul

CHANGE TO SUNDAY MASS TIME AS OF TODAY: Beginning today, the regular Sunday Mass for St. Mary’s Polish Parish will be held at 9am. This change will give me a little more breathing time in between the two Sunday morning masses. Most parishes in the area that still have two Sunday morning masses have the same time frame. – Father Paul

MODLITWA WIELKANOCNA/ An Easter Breakfast Prayer:Prosimy Cię, Zmartwychwstały Panie, daj nam tu zebranym  razem przy stole w naszej rodzinie i w gronie przyjaciół z wiarą przeżywać Twoją obecność podczas naszego świątecznego posiłku w dzień Twego zwycięstwa. Prosimy Cię, abyśmy mogli radować się z udziału w Twoim życiu i zmartwychwstaniu teraz i w wieczności. Który żyjesz i królujesz na wieki wieków. Amen. We ask you, Risen Lord, let those of us gathered here – family, friends, and guests – faithfully experience your presence through our Easter meal on this glorious day.  We ask that we may rejoice in your life and Resurrection – you who live and reign forever and ever. Amen

ŚWIĘCONKA BREAKFAST: Our parish's Polish Easter breakfast will be Sunday, April 3rd (next Sunday) immediately after our 9 a.m. Mass in the Polish Village Hall. Everyone is welcome. Tickets are $10, except $5 for age 12 and under. Proceeds to our rebuilding. Please see Shauna McKay for tickets (539-4354)

THANK YOU to everyone who has helped in any way with our Holy Week, Easter Triduum, and yesterday’s Blessing of Easter Foods  (Swiecenie Pokarmow Wielkanocnych) Bóg zapłać! God bless!

CHOIR RECRUITMENT: At our parish Święconka Breakfast next Sunday after Mass, we will talk a bit about future choir recruitment! Please give it some thought. Being part of the choir is an incredible way to praise God, to keep alive our beautiful language, hymns, and traditions, and to bring great joy to the community.Current choir members (all wonderful people!) would work with you, and you could ease in gradually.

RECENT IMO ("IN MEMORY OF") CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE (RE)BUILDING FUND:
IMO Cecilia Jockemeck from Nora DiMarco

PASTA DINNER TO SUPPORT OUR REBUILDING: This is being very kindly organized for us by Frank DiVito at Our Lady of Fatima Hall on Friday, April 1, at 6:30 p.m. This event is sold out! Thank you.

PARISH DINNER THEATRE – FUND-RAISER: Fellow parishioner Brittany Fagan-Steele, who has a background in theatre arts, has developed a very interesting and totally “do-able” proposal for a pre-Christmas parish dinner theatre – as a fund-raiser for our rebuilding (we’ll still be fund-raising to finish the hall/reading room/kitchen section!) Brittany will say more about this at our Easter breakfast on April 3rd, but in the meantime we’d like to invite everyone to think about playing an acting role, big or small. No previous experience is required!

THE NEXT MEETING OF THE ST. MICHAEL’S POLISH BENEFIT SOCIETY is moved from today to Sunday, April 3, at 7 p.m.

SEEDS FOR OUR FOOD GARDEN: Alina Stahevitch is accepting donations of seeds for this year’s parish community food garden.
